About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash-like colour variation, or worn-look surface treatments. These pieces reference the mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving tradition, where items were produced in village workshops using regional motifs. Distressed vintage rugs frequently incorporate a medallion, a dominant central motif that anchors the composition, often framed by a structurally distinct border.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction allows this rug to lie flat against the floor, making it highly functional for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. Its profile is suitable for underfloor heating and layering over larger carpets.

Why Choose This Rug?

• — Features a central medallion motif with a distressed, overdyed finish that reveals ghost-pattern traces of the original 70s craftsmanship.
• — Constructed from a cotton and polyester blend; cotton provides breathability, while polyester adds durability and moisture resistance for everyday use.
• — The flatwoven construction ensures a no-shed, low-pile surface that remains stable underfoot and is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems.
• — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production.
• — Highly durable design suited to high-traffic areas and versatile enough for layering in various residential settings.
