Dahlia Bashful

Dahlia Bashful is a charming Single (Anemone) dahlia that captivates with its striking 3-inch blooms. The deep burgundy petals with fuchsia tips surround a vibrant golden center, creating a beautiful contrast. Standing at a compact 2½ feet, it's ideal for the front of borders, containers, or as a cut flower. Blooming early in the season, 'Bashful' offers continuous color from midsummer through fall. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Plant tubers in spring after the last frost, spacing them 12-18 inches apart. Regular deadheading encourages prolonged blooming. In colder regions, dig up tubers after the first frost and store them in a cool, dry place until spring replanting.
