Crulian - Vintage Medallion Rug - 5'7 X 10'3

This hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece embodies Anatolian heritage through a flatwoven construction, showcasing a faded patina with abrash detail and an overdyed finish. Featuring a low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable surface that is layering-friendly and underfloor-heating safe, this reversible weave offers a soft-touch, distressed character with ghost-pattern 70s craftsmanship, a cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal quality, and sun-bleached tones.

About This Style

Vintage rugs are defined by an aesthetic that evokes mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving traditions, often featuring faded tones and abrash-like colour variations. Distressed treatments mimic natural ageing, where overdyed processes reveal ghost-pattern traces of original motifs beneath a new surface wash. These pieces frequently incorporate medallion central anchors or complex floral botanical compositions, ranging from dense, scrolled fields to stylised regional repeats.

Where It Works

The flatweave construction allows this rug to lie perfectly flush against the floor, making it ideal for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and dining rooms. Its thin profile is specifically designed for underfloor heating and is layering-friendly, providing a practical solution for both minimalist and complex floor plans.
