About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash colour variation, and worn-look surface treatments. Distressing is achieved through decades of use or intentional finishing, where an overdyed process creates a ghost-pattern by revealing the base structure beneath a saturated colour wash. The medallion style is defined by a dominant central motif, typically geometric or stylised in Turkish traditions, framed by a distinct border to anchor the composition.

Where It Works

The flatweave construction allows this rug to lie perfectly flush against the floor, making it ideal for high-traffic areas like hallways, kitchens, and entryways. Its low-profile design is suitable for placement over larger rugs for layering and provides efficient heat transfer when used with underfloor heating systems.
