Cinnamon Girl® Distylium

The Cinnamon Girl® Distylium from First Editions® brings refined evergreen structure and rich seasonal color to the landscape in a compact, easy-care form. This improved evergreen distylium stands out with striking purple new growth that emerges in warm plum and cinnamon tones before maturing to handsome blue-green foliage. The result is a layered, color-shifting shrub that adds depth, contrast, and year-round texture to garden beds.

With its small leaves, dense branching, and naturally rounded shape, Distylium Cinnamon Girl has a polished look that works beautifully in both traditional and modern landscapes. It offers the clean structure gardeners often want from boxwood, but with a softer texture, improved toughness, and excellent adaptability in Southern gardens.

This compact distylium bush matures to approximately 2 to 3 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide, making it a versatile dwarf shrub for borders, foundation plantings, mass plantings, low hedges, and mixed evergreen beds. Its graceful spreading habit gives it enough presence to anchor a planting while staying low and manageable.

As one of the more cold-hardy distylium varieties, Cinnamon Girl® is a smart choice for gardeners looking for a durable evergreen shrub with multi-season appeal. Use it to soften walkways, add structure around patios, replace disease-prone boxwoods, or create a low-maintenance evergreen layer that looks good through every season.
