Description
The best thing about the Daisy-like flowers of Cineraria Senetti® Blue Bicolor is the fact that there are so many of them on each plant. Plus the 3" flowers will bloom for weeks indoors, a welcome sight in colder months of the year. A Proven Winners® variety. 'Sunsenebabubai' PP 19,201. One plant shipped in an 8" wide x 7" tall woven basket.
The floriferous, tender perennials with large, Daisy-like blooms we commonly call Cineraria were once placed in the genus Cineraria, they have since been reclassified in the genus Pericallis that includes about 15 species of herbaceous plants and small subshrubs endemic to the Canary Islands, Madeira, and the Azores. The Florist’s Cinerarias we grow as houseplants (or in Zone 9-11 gardens) are short-lived, interspecific (between species) hybrids (P. cruenta x P. lanata) growing from cool cliffs towering above the Atlantic Ocean. Like those cliffside beauties, they prefer cool temperatures and evenly moist, but never saturated, soil.
