Description

Named for its multi-tiered rows of purple and white flowers resembling pagodas, this native California wildflower blooms late-spring through summer. An excellent choice for bouquets and arrangements, Chinese Houses is nectar-rich and loved by pollinators. Great in border gardens and sometimes used as ground cover. 1-2’ tall. Self-sows if blossoms are not harvested.

  • Germination: 7-10 days
  • Direct sow in full sun after last frost or start indoors 4-6 weeks prior to last frost.
  • Press scattered seeds gently into soil. Moist soil and light are required for successful germination. Water/mist gently after sowing.
