Chantenay Red Cored Carrot (Daucus carota)

Very sweet and crisp with a red-orange center and wide shoulders that taper to a point. Red Cored is a shorter carrot approximately 6” long making it a great choice for denser soils.

• 300 seeds minimum
• Germination: 14-28 days
• Maturity: 70 days
• Direct sow first crop as soon as soil can be worked in early spring. Gently press scattered seeds into loosened soil. Resow in late summer for a fall crop.
• Plant in full sun and water consistently.
• Space plants 3-4” apart in rows 12” apart.
