Calavera Tattoo with Mexican Skull Design

Dia de los Muertos is celebrated in Mexico with the same intent as in the Celtic lands. The day when the dead can return to Earth, a crack between the worlds, a still point for celebration of life. The folk art of Mexico includes marvelous papier mache skulls decorated with whimsical designs, from which this one takes its inspiration.
