Butterfly Asclepias - Narrowleaf Milkweed

(Asclepias fascicularis)

Native to the West, Narrowleaf Milkweed is an easy, must have addition to any habitat garden. This hardy perennial is the primary food source for endangered Monarch butterflies and supplies nectar to many other butterflies, honeybees and native bees. Clusters of creamy lavender to white, star-shaped flowers bloom throughout summer above slender, willow-like foliage. Tough, drought tolerant and adaptable, it reliably returns bushier and more robust year after year.
