Broan - Vintage Distressed Rug - 5'5 X 8'7

This hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece captures Anatolian heritage through a flatwoven construction, featuring a faded patina, abrash detail, and overdyed finish. With low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable, and layering-friendly qualities, it is underfloor-heating safe, reversible weave, and offers a soft-touch, distressed character, ghost-pattern, 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal, and sun-bleached tones.

About This Style

Vintage rugs evoke an antique aesthetic through faded tones, abrash colour variation, and worn-look surface treatments. Distressing mimics decades of use, often via overdying, which leaves ghost traces of original motifs beneath a saturated wash. Medallion designs feature a dominant central circular or diamond-shaped motif, a hallmark of classical Anatolian composition, typically framed by a distinct border.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction ensures this rug lies flush against the floor, making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. Its thin profile is ideal for layering over larger carpets, while the material composition is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems.
