Training and care
Trailing canes require a trellis. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil, irrigate deeply enough to keep the root zone evenly moist, and separate new primocanes from fruiting floricanes as they grow. Remove spent floricanes after harvest and train the new canes for the following season. Choose a protected site where winter cold or drying winds threaten trailing berries.
