About This Style

Vintage rugs are defined by an aged aesthetic, often showcasing faded tones and abrash-like colour variations derived from mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving traditions. Distressed surfaces mimic decades of natural wear, frequently utilising an overdyed finish that leaves a ghost-pattern of the original motif visible beneath the surface. Medallion designs serve as the structural anchor, featuring stylised central geometric or floral forms framed by distinct decorative borders.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction allows this rug to lie perfectly flat, making it ideal for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. Its low-profile design is compatible with underfloor heating systems and is highly effective for layering over larger carpets.
