Blueberry Lemonade Caryopteris

With eye-popping, lime-green leaves, Caryopteris ‘Blueberry Lemonade’ is poised to outshine its ever-popular, green-leaved cousin. Easy-to-grow, this shrub is a great pick for perennial beds, foundation plantings, mass plantings, and more. It is drought-tolerant and adapts to a variety of soil types and mulches so long as it doesn’t sit in a saturated soil.

Come mid-summer, plants complement their chartreuse foliage with purple-blue, fuzzy flowers that continue for months and are a destination for local bees and butterflies. Among the best shrub picks for those seeking high impact with low maintenance with a stunning foliage/flower color combination.

Caryopteris flower on new wood and so can be shared by 1/3 in spring or cut back to the ground if winter dieback is significant.
