About This Style

Vintage rugs evoke an antique aesthetic through faded tones, abrash colour variation, and worn-look surface treatments. Distressed rugs undergo specific finishing processes, such as overdyeing, which leaves ghost traces of the original pattern beneath a saturated colour wash. The medallion motif, a hallmark of classical Anatolian design, serves as a central focal point, often rendered in geometric or stylised forms that reflect mid-20th-century regional craftsmanship.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction allows this rug to lie flush against the floor, making it ideal for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. Its profile is compatible with underfloor heating systems and serves as an effective base for layering in larger living areas or dining rooms.
