About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash-like colour variation, and worn-look surface treatments. Distressing mimics natural ageing through selective fading or erased pile, which reveals the base structure and often creates a ghost-pattern effect when overdyed. Medallion motifs serve as the central anchor of the composition, typically rendered in geometric or stylised forms that reflect mid-20th-century craftsmanship.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction allows this rug to lie flat, making it suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. It is compatible with underfloor heating systems and is thin enough to be used for layering over larger carpets.

Why Choose This Rug?

• — Features a prominent central medallion motif framed by a structurally distinct border, characteristic of classical Anatolian design.
• — Constructed from a cotton and polyester blend, combining the breathability of cotton with the moisture resistance and durability of polyester for everyday use.
• — The flatwoven, no-pile design ensures the rug remains flush with the floor, preventing trip hazards and accommodating doors that swing low.
• — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production.
• — Durable enough for high-traffic zones and versatile enough for layering, this rug provides a practical foundation for busy households.
