About This Style

Vintage rugs are designed to evoke an antique aesthetic, often featuring faded tones and abrash-like colour variations. Distressing is a surface treatment that mimics natural age, where the original rug is submerged in a saturated overdyed bath to reveal a ghost-pattern of the underlying structure. Floral vintage rugs utilise botanical motifs, such as blossoms and vines, which draw from the mid-20th-century Anatolian tradition of small village workshop production.

Where It Works

The flatwoven construction makes this rug suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens, and entryways. Its low-profile design is compatible with underfloor heating and allows for seamless layering over larger carpets or hard floors.

Why Choose This Rug?

• — Features a rich red palette with intricate floral motifs and a distressed character that highlights the historical ghost-pattern.
• — Constructed from a cotton and polyester blend, offering the breathability of natural fibre with the moisture resistance and durability required for everyday use.
• — The no-pile, flatweave construction ensures the rug lies perfectly flat and does not shed, simplifying maintenance.
• — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production.
• — Engineered for high-traffic durability and safety, making it an ideal choice for busy households and spaces with underfloor heating.
