Astilbe Europa

Plumes of pink brighten shade and woodland gardens in early to midsummer. The flowers also are stylish in cut-flower displays. Astilbe Europa's feathery foliage adds texture and movement throughout the growing season. A favorite shade perennial, astilbe grows 24-36" tall and performs best in regular to moist soil and in partial to full shade. Astilble grows well with other shade plants such as hostas and ferns and has few disease and insect problems. Astilbe Europa is also suitable for container gardening. Deer tend to avoid.
