The largest painted lighthouse Sunrise builds: twelve feet of hand-painted MDO tower with a 49" footprint, delivered by freight. It's the size marinas, restaurants and waterfront estates choose when the lighthouse has to be seen from the water.
This version includes the matching octagonal base, which lifts the tower to 168" overall, widens the footprint to 51" and gives the lighthouse the proportions of the real thing. The base ships as a second piece and the tower sets onto it.
Hand-painted MDO. The tower is built from MDO (medium-density overlay) - the resin-faced exterior sign board used for outdoor signage - and painted in the replica scheme or custom colors you choose. The lantern room hardware is stainless. Painted wood will eventually want a fresh coat (typically after many years outdoors); if you'd rather never paint, see the poly version of this size.
Lighting - what's included and the upgrades
Every lighthouse ships with a standard 25-watt bulb, socket and 8' cord - plug it into an outdoor outlet or extension cord and it lights. Optional upgrades: a dusk-to-dawn sensor that switches the light on automatically; an electric rotating beacon (36 rpm); the large electric rotating beacon sized for 8' and 12' towers; a solar light kit with LED, ground spike and built-in dusk-to-dawn sensor - no cord needed; interior tower lighting so the windows glow as well as the top. Lighting components carry a 1-year warranty.
Shipping & setup
Ships fully assembled by LTL freight, palletized, with curbside liftgate delivery. Set it on a level pad and anchor it - we can advise on the right hardware for your surface. Delivery is to the lower 48 states.
Warranty & care
Lighting components are warranted for 1 year. The painted MDO body is not covered by the poly warranty; wash with mild detergent and water and touch up paint as needed.
