Application Guidance
New berry beds: Apply 2.5–5 lb per 100 linear feet and mix thoroughly into the top 3 inches of soil. For new berry plants one to two years old, mix approximately 1/2 cup with the backfill soil, fill around the plant, and water well.
Established berries: Apply approximately 1 cup per plant in early spring, mix it into the soil surface, and water thoroughly. Repeat when blooms appear. When using a fall application, use approximately half the normal rate.
Trees and shrubs: For established plants, spread approximately 1 lb per inch of trunk diameter from the base toward the drip line, mix lightly into the soil surface, and water well. For new trees and shrubs, mix 1–2 cups with the backfill soil before watering.
Application rates can vary by plant size and local soil conditions. Follow the current product label and use a soil test when possible.
