Acer palmatum 'Columba' is a charming dwarf Japanese maple prized for its compact, rounded form and small, palmate leaves. In spring, the foliage emerges in a striking blend of lime green with distinct purple-red margins, accented by hints of yellow and scarlet, creating a vibrant display of color. Its slow growth rate of approximately 4–8 inches per year makes it an excellent choice for bonsai, containers, rock gardens, and small landscape spaces. After 10 years, 'Columba' typically reaches 4–6 ft tall and 4–6 ft wide, developing into a dense, naturally rounded specimen with year-round ornamental appeal.
