Clarity on this ring is VVS2, which is two full grades above the point where inclusions stop being visible to the naked eye and into territory where they are difficult to locate even under magnification. Most engagement rings are not built to that standard, and almost none are at this price.

The center is a fancy yellow princess cut diamond weighing 2.05 carats, GIA report number 5151513207. Small round cut white diamonds surround it and add 1.33 carats, for a total diamond weight of 3.39 carats. The white stones are G in color, in the near colorless range. The head measures 14 mm, or 9/16 of an inch, across.

The mounting weighs 5.7 grams in 18K white gold. A 14 mm head on a mounting that light is a deliberate ratio: it is why this ring covers as much of the finger as rings carrying twice the diamond weight. The yellow center and its white surround do all the work, and the metal stays out of the way.
