14k Yellow Semi-Pressure Ruby Ring

DESCRIPTION:

A 14K gold ruby ring built around a single semi-pressure set ruby. The pressure setting holds the stone between the walls of the band itself rather than under prongs, so nothing sits over the top of the ruby and the full face of the stone stays exposed — more color visible, and nothing standing proud of the ring to catch on a pocket or a cuff.

The band measures 6.5mm wide and the ring weighs approximately 9.5 grams, which gives it real presence on the hand without the bulk of a signet. That width is the reason it wears well as a men's pinky ring — substantial enough to read across the room, slim enough to wear every day. The deep red of the ruby against polished gold is the whole design; there is no pavé or side stone work competing with it.
