14K Yellow Gold Marquise Lab Diamond Engagement Ring 7.07 Ctw

DESCRIPTION:

Engagement ring in 14K yellow gold built around a 4.52 carat marquise cut lab grown diamond, VVS2 clarity and F color, with 7.07 carats of diamonds in total. At 4.52 carats this is a large center stone by any measure, and the marquise shape carries more visible spread than a round diamond of the same weight because the outline is elongated. On the hand it covers noticeably more finger than the carat number alone would suggest.

The center stone is set north to south, with trillion cut side stones at the left and right points and smaller marquise accents at the top and bottom. The result is a kite shaped cluster rather than the conventional straight three stone line, and the four surrounding stones repeat the points of the center marquise instead of competing with it. Side stones total 2.55 carats of lab grown diamonds. The head is raised on prongs above the shank so light can enter the center stone from underneath.

14K gold mounting weighing 5.6 grams, shown in size 6. VVS2 means inclusions are not visible to the naked eye and are difficult to find even under magnification, and F sits inside the colorless range. Lab grown diamonds are chemically and optically identical to mined diamonds and are graded on the same scales. Made at Avianne and Co in New York City's Diamond District.
