DESCRIPTION:

The head on this ring measures 18.5 mm across, which is close to three quarters of an inch of diamond sitting between the knuckles. Very little else in the collection covers that much finger. Carrying it takes metal, and the band weighs 14.5 grams in 14K white gold, substantially heavier than a typical engagement mounting.

At the center is a brilliant princess cut diamond weighing 2.62 carats, prong set, and described as clarity enhanced. Clarity enhancement is a disclosed treatment that improves how the stone's inclusions appear, and it is stated here because it should be stated. Brilliant round cut diamonds make up the rest of the frame and add 2.25 carats, bringing total diamond weight to 4.87 carats at VS2 clarity and G to H color.

A princess cut keeps sharp square corners, which is why it is set with the corners protected under prongs rather than left exposed. VS2 means inclusions are not visible to the naked eye and G to H is near colorless, so the surrounding set stays white against the white gold.
